Lama Hassoun Ayoub

Lama Hassoun Ayoub led research and evaluation across numerous portfolios, including school and youth justice, violence prevention, tribal justice, risk-need assessment, reentry, community supervision, incarceration. Her projects include mixed-methods randomized controlled trial evaluating restorative justice in schools; an evaluation of a trauma-informed violence prevention program; and research on risk-needs assessment in tribal justice systems. Ms. Hassoun Ayoub led the first-ever comprehensive study of school safety, discipline, and climate in New York City and co-led a quasi-experimental evaluation of neighborhood-oriented probation. Her past work includes research on programs to reduce children’s exposure to violence, violence prevention in schools, and reentry. Lama received her Master of Science in Public Health from Harvard University and is currently a doctoral candidate in developmental psychology at Wayne State University.
