Certified Recovery Peer Advocate position for New York State Unified Court System Opioid Intervention Courts
Summary: The Center is requesting, on behalf of the New York State Unified Court System, proposals from NY Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) certified treatment providers to provide person-centered, recovery-oriented, strength-based, and trauma-informed peer support to participants involved in a UCS rural Opioid Invention Courts (“OIC”) through a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) in eight counties (Sullivan, Greene, Delaware, Genesee, Cortland, Columbia, Chenango, and Lewis). The CRPA will work as part of an interdisciplinary treatment court team alongside NYS Unified Court System staff including Project Directors, Resource Coordinators, Case Managers and licensed OASAS Clinicians to provide comprehensive support to program participants in a pretrial setting.
Applications for the Certified Recovery Peer Advocate Position RFP are now CLOSED. The Center is no longer accepting applications for this solicitation. Vendors have been selected and notified. They are:

Laboratory-Based Drug Testing Program for New York State Unified Court System Opioid Intervention Courts
Summary: The Center is requesting, on behalf of the New York State Unified Court System, proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive substance use monitoring services for participants involved in UCS rural Opioid Invention Courts in eight (8) New York State Counties. The purpose of this contract is to create a laboratory-based drug testing program to inform court administration and OIC practitioners on the nature and extent of drug use and to examine the changing nature of substance use from plant-based drug derivatives to synthetic, laboratory-created substances commonly referred to as new psychoactive substances.

Non-emergency Medical Transportation for New York State Unified Court System Opioid Intervention Courts
Summary: The Center is requesting, on behalf of the New York State Unified Court System, proposals from qualified vendors to provide Non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for participants involved in the NYS Unified Court System Rural Opioid Intervention Court Initiative in eight (8) New York State Counties including the counties of Sullivan, Greene, Delaware, Genesee, Cortland, Columbia, Chenango, and Lewis to address participant barriers to transportation which is often unavailable, unaffordable, and difficult to access in rural communities, creating barriers to medication for addiction treatment, clinical and recovery support services, court appearances, and health appointments. The Center for Justice Innovation seeks to establish a single account with a central manager of non-emergency medical transportation to support court staff in arranging needed transportation for Opioid Intervention Court participants to help remove barriers to treatment and engage individuals in the court and clinical process.
The deadline to submit proposals in response to the Non-emergency Medical Transportation for New York State Unified Court System Opioid Intervention Courts RFP has been extended to September 25, 2023.
