Albert Barnes is the program associate for the Housing Resource Center at the Red Hook Community Justice Center. He joined the Justice Center in 2007 as an AmeriCorps member conducting home visits to tenants’ apartments, making follow-up phone calls and assisting tenants with legal paperwork. Albert is proud to have worked closely with two court staff members who have since gone on to become judges. He is a trained certified mediator through the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center. Before joining the Justice Center, Albert volunteered with the Parks Department at the neighborhood’s Coffey Park and had a career in art supplies distribution.
