Alexandra Haselbeck is the clinical director at Midtown Community Court. In this role, she supervises the clinical staff and oversees programming and operations for the clinical department, including the development and implementation of psycho-educational groups, clinical assessments, and counseling services. Alexandra has more than a decade of experience in social justice work, with a specialized focus in human rights issues for people with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities. Prior to working at the Center for Court Innovation, she has worked with survivors of sexual violence, taught sex education to vulnerable populations and facilitated intensive group rehabilitative therapy to sex offenders. In addition, she has presented at conferences and Universities throughout New York City on issues of self-advocacy, deinstitutionalization, and person-centered practices. Alexandra received her Master’s in Social Work from Hunter’s Silberman School of Social Work, with a specialized focus in global social work. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State. Alexandra is committed to providing strengths-based, trauma-informed care through an anti-oppressive lens.
