Jimmy Charité is a Staff Data Scientist at Pinterest and a co-founder of the Uptown Youth Collective (UYC), a community-based initiative in Upper Manhattan focused on public safety, mental health, civic engagement, and youth leadership.
At Pinterest, Jimmy leads research and experimentation efforts that shape how large-scale recommendation systems are evaluated, governed, and improved. In parallel, through UYC, he co-leads a cross-sector coalition working to close critical service gaps for marginalized young people. This work includes anti-gun and gang violence interventions, school partnerships delivering trauma-informed support for social-emotional health, expanded access to culturally competent mental healthcare, and youth civic leadership development.
