Andre Anteliz is currently the Brooklyn Court-based Intervention and Resource Team liaison for Brooklyn Justice Initiatives. Mr. Anteliz works with defense attorneys and prosecutors to help mentally ill, nonviolent offenders receive treatment. He is also a Mental Health Counselor, currently accruing hours toward licensure by performing mental health assessments, creating treatment plans, and carrying a caseload that involves case management and supportive counseling for clients. Previously, he worked with Training and Technical Assistance, where he helped support the Center’s consulting services for jurisdictions in the U.S. and internationally, especially in the areas of community and problem-solving justice. He is the recipient of a Services for Transition Age Youth Fellowship through the American Psychological Association to support his passion for providing mental health services to transition-age youth, ages 16 to 25, and their families. He holds a B.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College and a Masters of Education in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University.
