With 27 years at the Center for Justice Innovation, Ife Charles-Hewitt serves as Senior Advisor for Culture, stewarding the organization’s values, leadership development, and cultural evolution. As a co-author of the Center’s core values, she has helped shape the moral and strategic foundation that guides its work today. Her leadership of evidence-based anti-violence initiatives contributed to citywide investment in New York City’s Crisis Management System, demonstrating how research-informed practice can influence public policy and drive sustainable community impact.

Throughout her tenure, Ife has served in executive leadership roles including Director of People & Culture and Director of Citywide Anti-Violence Programs, overseeing multi-million-dollar portfolios, cultivating cross-sector partnerships with city agencies, and mentoring leaders across disciplines and boroughs. She has been a pivotal force during periods of organizational growth and transition aligning strategy with culture, strengthening internal capacity, and advancing equity-centered leadership practices.
