Lenore Lebron

Director of Data Analytics and Applied Research

Leadership

Lenore Lebron is the director of Data Analytics and Applied Research at the Center for Court Innovation. Ms. Lebron oversees all data collection, analysis, research, and reporting pertaining to the Center's operating projects, including Midtown Community Court, Harlem Community Justice Center, Red Hook Community Justice Center, Brooklyn Justice Initiatives, Bronx Community Solutions, Brooklyn Justice Initiatives, Newark Community Solutions, and Brooklyn Mental Health Court. In addition, Ms. Lebron is a part of the Center's team dedicated to the MacArthur Foundation's Safety and Justice Challenge, a national research and technical assistance initiative to reduce over-incarceration by changing the way America thinks about and uses jails. Previously at the Center, Ms. Lebron was part of the evaluation of Save our Streets in Crown Heights, Brooklyn - a public health approach to gun violence prevention, participated in a nationwide evaluation of Adult Reentry Courts, developed and validated a short risk-assessment tool to assist police departments currently engaged in the "police-led diversion" of low-risk offenders to community justice or social service programs, and was part of an evaluation of the predictors of success at multiple mental health courts. Prior to working at the Center, Ms. Lebron held the position of crime analyst supervisor in the Phoenix Police Department's Crime Analysis and Research Unit where she was responsible for analyzing crime trends and completing administrative and strategic research projects and reports. Ms. Lebron holds a B.S. and a Master's in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University.
