Erica Murphy is the Youth Justice Clinician at Bronx Community Solutions. In this role, she provides clinical interventions and advocates for her clients by operating from a trauma-informed lens and strengths-based approach. Erica previously worked as a Youth Counselor for Bronx Community Solutions, as well as a Life Coach for Harlem Justice Corps – both positions in which she served young adults who had recently been impacted by the criminal justice system. Some of Erica’s highlights include being recognized by the Behavioral Science Unit of the FBI for participation in research on violent behavior, her volunteer work as a Crisis Interventionist with the New Orleans Police Department’s Mobile Crisis Team, and her acceptance into the competitive Tow Policy Advocacy Fellowship and Pinkerton Graduate Community Fellowship. Erica holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Loyola University New Orleans, and a master’s degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
