Jacques Brunvil is a Community Engagement Specialist at Brooklyn Justice Initiatives. In this role, he builds and maintains relationships with community-based organizations, city agencies, and key stakeholders. He also works closely with senior staff to develop and implement new initiatives. This includes leading team building activities and events, developing new curricula, and applying for additional grant funding. His work also includes maintaining a 5-borough Resource Directory and planning the first Brooklyn Justice Initiatives community event. Jacques supports participants enrolled in programming through accompaniments to hard to access appointments along with community and home-based supervision visits with Social Workers.
Previously, Jacques worked as a Research Assistant researching procedural justice in the Manhattan Criminal Court along with Gun and Gang involvement in key parts of the city. Jacques has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The University of Hawai’i at Mānoa.
