Janine Jean-Pierre is a court liaison for the Adolescent Diversion Program at Brooklyn Justice Initiatives. Janine provides court coverage and is responsible for communicating with prosecutors and defense attorneys about the eligibility of youth arrested on misdemeanor and non-violent felony charges for BJI programs. Prior to joining BJI, Janine was a case manager at a work-release residential program working with formally incarcerated men to secure the services necessary for them to reintegrate into the community. Janine earned her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies-Dispute Resolution—minoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice —and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven.
