Kate Penrose is an associate director with the Data Analytics and Applied Research team at the Center for Court Innovation, overseeing research and evaluation efforts for the Center’s alternative sentencing programs. She has worked closely with Brooklyn Justice Initiatives, the Brownsville Community Justice Center, and the Red Hook Community Justice Center. Before joining the Center, she worked with health departments in New York City and Massachusetts on the implementation and evaluation of programs for vulnerable populations. Kate holds a B.A. in Biology from Swarthmore College and an M.S. in Population and International Health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
