Layla Abdullah

Supervised Release Resource Coordinator, Brooklyn Justice Initiatives

Layla Abdullah is a Resource Coordinator for the Supervised Release program at Brooklyn Justice Initiatives. Ms. Abdullah previously interned at Project More, an organization that works to reintegrate formerly incarcerated people into the community and help provide services to their families. She also has interned at the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem as an investigator. Additionally, Ms. Abdullah was a part of Students Against Mass Incarceration through her college, where she facilitated workshops at the Columbia Girls Secure Center. Ms. Abdullah graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a BA in Sociology with a concentration in Human Services and a minor in Black Studies.
