Lizzy Tijani is a Research and Data Associate on the Data Analytics and Applied Research Team at the Center for Court Innovation. Her portfolio includes on-site research, data analysis, evaluation and technical support for the Harlem Community Justice Center and the Midtown Community Court. Lizzy’s career has ranged from working at New York State and City agencies such as the New York City Department of Education, think-tanks, and nonprofits such as The Brennan Center for Justice and The Ford Foundation. Lizzy’s background is a blend of criminal justice reform, education policy, and advocating for inclusion and equity. Before joining the Center, Lizzy was a Center for Women in Government and Civil Society Fellow placed at the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. As a fellow within the Office of Justice Research and Performance, she supported program researchers in developing quality and data monitoring reports for New York State County Re-Entry Task Force, TASC, Defender Based Advocacy, and Mental Health Diversion Programs. Lizzy holds a B.A in Political Science and Criminal Justice, as well as a Master’s of Public Administration from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
