Mary Badame is the patient navigator in Buffalo, NY. She works to improve the health outcomes of court-involved women in Erie County who are pregnant, parenting a young child, or of childbearing age by connecting clients to medical providers and community resources. Mary has several years of experience working with high-risk pregnant women and advocating for better birth outcomes and reproductive justice. Most recently, she served as the Birthing Center Coordinator at WomenServices & the Birthing Center of Buffalo. She has also worked in Community Engagement at Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York. Mary holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and will graduate with her M.A. in Global Gender Studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo in early 2017. Additionally, she is a certified full-spectrum doula.
