Michelle Aliyeva is the Community Liaison at the Near Westside Peacemaking Project. She builds strong relationships with residents and agency partners to improve trust and increase access to key services. Michelle sits on Peacemaking cases as a community support person and connects participants with wraparound services. She also coordinates the project’s resident-led community impact team and leads the planning and implementation of place-based work and community events designed to improve safety and social cohesion in Syracuse’s Westside. Michelle previously ran youth programming at the Syracuse YWCA, working with at-risk girls in some of the city’s toughest schools. Michelle is bilingual, an entrepreneur and business owner, and a proud mother of two.
