Ramon Caba

Project Director of Bronx Community Justice Center

Currently at the Center for Justice Innovation, Mr. Caba works in the capacity of Project Director for the Bronx Community Justice Center. His responsibilities include but are not limited to: leading the strategic planning for the Bronx Community Justice Center, including planning and community needs assessment, community and stakeholder engagement, and development of relationships with community partners.

In his previous role at the Center, Mr. Caba worked in the capacity of Director of Community Safety. He led the strategic planning and implementation of community safety initiatives and developing relationships with community partners such as the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, and more.

In addition, under the Mayor’s Office Action Plan (MAP) for Neighborhood Safety Initiative, he started in 2017 as an Engagement Coordinator assigned to Wagner Houses a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) development in East Harlem. After two years in his role as an Engagement Coordinator, he was promoted to Associate Director – in this role his primary focus was to work alongside and supervise three MAP Engagement Coordinators in Harlem and Queens to develop a comprehensive strategy to enhance public safety and strengthen community engagement in all the four NYCHA developments.

Mr. Caba’s last role with the Neighborhood Safety Initiatives was the Deputy Project Director working alongside the Project Director, key Center staff, the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, and NYCHA to develop, manage, and advance all NSI tasks and timelines for all the initiatives projects citywide.

Mr. Caba possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and a Master’s degree in Professional Studies.
