Samantha Fried

Project Coordinator, Child Witness Materials Development Project

Samantha Fried is the Project Coordinator for the Child Witness Materials Development Project, overseeing this national effort to create a package of support materials to facilitate the provision of appropriate court services to children and young people involved in criminal and civil cases. Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Fried worked in child welfare for several years. She began her career as a therapeutic case planner in the Treatment Family Foster Care Department of New Alternatives For Children, a foster care agency in New York City, and then spent four years as a forensic social worker at the Legal Aid Society’s Juvenile Rights Practice. She is also an adjunct faculty member at the Fordham Graduate School of Social Service where she teaches Forensic Social Work Practice. Ms. Fried holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and an MSW with a minor in Law from Columbia University.
