Samantha O'Brien

Samantha O’Brien serves as the Compliance Specialist for the Supervised Release Program, where she assists the case managers in helping them track their clients and data/statistical trends for the program. As a U.S. Army Veteran she served as a Combat Medic. After her time in the service, she went on to pursue her undergraduate degree in Black Studies at CUNY-City College of New York and is currently pursuing her graduate degree from John Jay School of Criminal Justice in Public Administration with a focus in Inspection and Oversight. Samantha has experience working with youth and young adults in various restorative justice programs including Cure Violence sites in South Jamaica, Queens, and Brownsville, Brooklyn, and has used her prior military experience and education to foster alternative means to violence and problem solving.
