Skye Ross is the pre-trial clinical coordinator at Brooklyn Justice Initiatives. In this capacity, she provides clinical oversight to the Supervised Release Program, which provides services to individuals who would otherwise be detained on bail pre-trial. Her work includes providing clinical supervision to staff, developing clinical programming, and providing case management and supportive counseling to program participants with identified mental health concerns. Ms. Ross also manages the Opioid Overdose Prevention Program at BJI. Prior to joining BJI in April 2016, Ms. Ross served as the project coordinator on a study counseling intervention for men recently diagnosed with HIV, assisted with research studying the long-term effects of HIV on the brain, and interned at Rikers Island connecting HIV-diagnosed individuals to community-based care upon release. She holds a master’s degree in social work from the Columbia University School of Social Work and a master’s degree in public health from the Mailman School of Public Health.
