Sonila Kada

Senior Social Worker

Sonila Kada is a social worker for the Diversion Programs at Midtown Community Court. In this role, Sonila provides educational groups and individual counseling sessions for eligible clients, with the aim of providing early intervention and avoiding prosecution and a criminal record for various non-violent misdemeanor crimes. Prior to joining the Center for Court Innovation, Sonila had taken time off from her career to raise two young boys and finish her graduate degree. In addition, Sonila worked at YAI for seven years as a Direct Service Provider to Young Adults diagnosed with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum disorders. Sonila received her Master’s in Social Work and is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State. Sonila is passionate about client advocacy and clinical work with high-risk populations.
