Prior to joining the Center for Court Innovation, Tyler worked with teens and young adults in the foster care system, at-risk LGBTQ identified youth, and at-risk family units. As a social worker, Tyler is a tireless advocate working within the criminal justice, housing, and educational systems. He has dedicated his career to working with LGBTQ foster youth, young adults in the criminal justice system, domestic violence survivors, and immigrant youth. Tyler is passionate about working with people to develop insight while advocating for their needs. In addition, Tyler provides therapy to Latino adults and families in Elmhurst, Queens. Tyler works to assist his clients in developing insight to their emotional and somatic responses to environmental stressors. He specializes in working with youth and young adults living with serious mental illnesses, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Tyler studied evolutionary psychology at the University of Arizona and obtained his Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. He is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State.
