The Center is committed to building the field of youth leadership and civic engagement.
Building on successes and challenges staff have encountered in leading the Youth Justice Board program, the Center for Court Innovation and Coro New York Leadership Center are partners in leading the Sustainable Strategies Working Advisory Group (SSWAG), a coalition of agencies that are committed to bringing the voices of young people into public policy issues that affect their lives. SSWAG partners meet regularly to discuss their work and support one another. During the 2017 – 2018 school year, SSWAG partners will lead four trainings for New York City agencies leading Youth Leadership Councils through NYC Service. This project is generously funded by the W. Clement and Jessie V. Stone Foundation.
